Welcome to our KLaS blog page.  This site has information about KLaS activities, fundraising, and career information.  Be sure to click on KLaS Webpage for pictures of activities.  There are also links to the school calendar, the weather and news.  I would like your student to check the weather and news daily.  Please make comments or ask questions about anything you find interesting.  The link to Arizona Career Information System can be accessed at home using the students’ user name and password.  There are many valuable activities on this site.

We made it through another succesful school year!  Congradulations to our Graduates!  I hope you all have a restful summer and I look forward to seeing you August 14th. 

Second Semester Changes to KLaS:

The new semester begins on Tuesday January 22.  Ms. Franklin will now be working with your students on transition plans, job readiness skills and career planning.  Mrs. Ross and Mr. Barnes will be joining our KLaS and will be teaching academics this semester.  Ms. Jackie will continue with social skills and daily living skills. 

T-Shirts:

KLaS T-shirts are in.  Student may wear them any day to school as they are considered school approved uniforms.  If you have a shirt from last year and still need the school logo, please bring it in and we will have it printed.  Thank you to those who made tax credit donations! 

We are planning a class field trip to the Keepers of the Wild on May 19th.  This is part of our career exploration.  We have visited the school cafeteria, library and Kingman Little School child care center. 

Graduation:

Graduation will be held Thursday, June  5, 2008.  If you will be graduating this year you must be at the field the morning for practice.  Students must be at practice in order to walk in the evening’s ceremony. 

Our KlaS will have our end of the year Graduation party on June 3rd.
