NOTICE: If you’re looking for the answers to the diagnostic test that I handed out today in class, I posted the answers in the comments to this post.

This is just a general post where I will try to answer any questions that you have as well as provide you with resources to help you study for the AP World History exam as we head into the final stretch. I will periodically add to this post in addition to answer your questions along the way.

For those of you who feel like you need some practice on the Free Response essays here’s a link to all of the essays that have been given since 2002.  http://www.collegeboard.com/student/test…

I took a practice exam in the barron’s book and I would like calculate what I got. What is the formula to do that?

Take the # of questions that you got wrong and times that by .25 (call this “n”)

Take the number of questions that you got right and subtract “n” For example, if you got 5 wrong and 30 right (I hope you would never skip that many though) you would take 30 – 1.25

Then take the difference and times that by .8571 which will give you a composite score.

Ideally you’d like a composite score above a 27 since that means you have at least a 2 before heading into the essays.

Ok, thank you. Well I got a 22.9, I guess I improved a little from last time when I got a 17.
